Eat 5 or 6 smaller meals during the day rather than the three traditional larger meals. Maintain a good balance of proteins and carbohydrates in your diet. A bodybuilder needs both. Carbs will give you the quick energy and protein will build muscle, providing sustained, long-term energy. Be sure to stay hydrated because water is critical to your metabolic process.
  • Natural supplements are vital in building muscle mass: Some bodybuilders tend to use a lot of chemical supplements which could cause numerous side effects to the body. The best nutrients you can put into your body to help grow muscle mass is natural protein supplements. This will not only help you to pack on muscles, but they boost up your energy level so you will be able to do your routines with more ease and experience a greater sense of well-being during your rest periods.
  • Stick to proportion: If you are trying for a truly fashionable look, the proportion is very important. One area that is often overlooked is the calf muscles because they are relatively small, to begin with, and are difficult to build. The calves are just as important as any other muscle in your body and can make you look disproportionate if they are ignored. Besides working them with specific routines, using both wide and narrow stances when lifting will help to sharpen the calf muscles.
  • Keep a positive mindset: Always be open to new advice and tips. This does not mean that you should jump from one program to another, but it’s good to shuffle your routine a little now and then to keep it from getting stale and boring.  Most bodybuilders love to share what they have learned.
